1885-CC Morgan Dollar : A Collector’s Guide.

The 1885-CC Morgan Dollar is a highly sought-after coin, struck at the Carson City Mint (CC).

Obverse: Features a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty, designed by George T. Morgan.

Reverse: Depicts a bald eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and an olive branch, encircled by the words "United States of America" and "One Dollar."

Many were stored in U.S. Treasury vaults and later sold in the GSA Hoard (General Services Administration) sales of the 1970s.

Strong demand due to Carson City Mint heritage and low mintage.

If buying a GSA Hoard example, ensure it comes with original packaging and COA.

The Carson City Mint (1870–1893) produced some of the most desirable U.S. coins.

1885 was one of the last years of Morgan Dollar production at this mint, adding to its historical importance.
