Arkansas American Innovation $1 Coin Products Now Available.
This coin is part of the U.S. Mint's ongoing series celebrating innovations and innovators from each state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. The Arkansas coin highlights a unique contribution to the nation’s progress.
The Arkansas coin features a design that commemorates the state’s designation as home to the first federally protected hot springs, recognized for their soothing waters and historical significance.
The reverse side of the coin, designed by the U.S. Mint’s artists, showcases a detailed image of water flowing from a spring, symbolizing the healing properties and natural beauty of Hot Springs National Park.
As with all coins in the series, the obverse features a depiction of the Statue of Liberty in profile, a design that remains consistent across the program. It includes the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.”
The coins are being produced at the Philadelphia (P) and Denver (D) Mints for uncirculated versions, and the San Francisco (S) Mint for proof versions. Collectors can identify the mint by the "P," "D," or "S" mintmark.
Each product has a limited mintage, making them more desirable for collectors. Early purchases are recommended to secure these coins before they sell out.
