Homeless and bouncing between friends’ couches, Butler relied on the kindness of others while nurturing his passion for basketball.

Despite being an unranked high school prospect, Butler’s hard work and determination earned him a scholarship to Tyler Junior College, where his talent caught the attention of Marquette University.
