Powerball's $183 Million Jackpot Still Unclaimed—Next Drawing Set for February 19.
The Powerball drawing on Monday, February 17, left millions of hopeful players checking their tickets, but no one managed to match all six numbers to claim the staggering $183 million jackpot.
As a result, the prize will roll over, increasing to an estimated $195 million for the next drawing on Wednesday, February 19.
While no one took home the grand prize, there were still many winners of smaller prizes.
Several players matched five numbers, securing at least $1 million each. Others won lower-tier prizes ranging from a few dollars to thousands.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each, and players can add the Power Play option for an extra $1 to increase non-jackpot winnings.
The odds of winning the grand prize are approximately 1 in 292.2 million, but smaller prizes have much better odds.
The next Powerball drawing will take place on Wednesday, February 19, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Ticket sales cut off an hour before the drawing in most states.
If a lucky winner secures the jackpot, they can choose between an annuitized payout or a lump sum cash option, which will be lower than the advertised jackpot amount.
