Sing Along! What We Know About Moana 2’s Soundtrack

Disney’s Moana 2, set for release in November 2024, promises to bring a fresh and exciting soundtrack that will capture the spirit of adventure, Polynesian culture, and heartfelt storytelling.

While specific details about the tracklist remain under wraps, fans can expect the return of the franchise’s signature blend of vibrant rhythms, sweeping melodies, and powerful lyrics.

The original Moana (2016) featured an award-winning soundtrack composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, with hit songs like How Far I’ll Go and You’re Welcome

and speculation is high that Miranda could once again be involved, potentially crafting new anthems that reflect Moana’s evolving journey.

Given the sequel’s premise of Moana embarking on an epic voyage far beyond the familiar waters of Motunui, the music is likely to expand in scope,

incorporating fresh Polynesian and Pacific Islander influences while retaining the emotional depth that made the first film’s soundtrack unforgettable.

With Auli’i Cravalho reprising her role as Moana, fans can anticipate stunning vocal performances, whether through soaring ballads or energetic, percussion-driven songs that celebrate her adventurous spirit.

There is also the possibility of collaborations with new artists, adding fresh voices to the beloved musical universe.
